Your business is a business, very simply it is not a hobby! If you treat your business like a hobby it will pay you like a hobby. NEWS FLASH… Hobbies generally end up COSTING you money… This is NetWORK Marketing… not NetPLAY Marketing… If you remember your first reason for starting a network marketing business it was probably to earn some extra cash, or maybe even to fire your boss and donate your job back to society and create a little economic stimulus of your own…
If you are at the point where you are not making much money and aren’t successfully sponsoring others into your business, answer these questions honestly (after all you are only lying to yourself if you don’t) Are you putting all your efforts into your business, or are you only just doing it when you feel like it? Would you want to sponsor someone like you? better yet… If you prospected yourself would you join YOU?
It’s time to get down to basics.
Remember the reasons why you started network marketing and write down your list of goals.

It’s been said and worth repeating that people dont plan to fail they fail to plan. Regardless of whether it’s an hour every night and a few hours at the weekend, write it down and hold yourself accountable. Treat your business more like a job than a hobby and be dedicated. Especially in the beginning.
In the beginning the vast majority of your results will come from your personal production. Ask yourself… Would I’d like to hire me to work in my business?
Join network marketing groups and forums and spend a few minutes every day reading the numerous tips and useful info you will find on good forums. Once you have learned a couple of things, share your ideas and become concerned frequently. You’ll be amazed what quantity of other tips you will pick up in a good forum.
Follow trainers like Eric Worre with Network Marketing Pro on Facebook. Work on yourself a little each day listening or watching mindset, training, or motivational audios and videos. You cannot SKIP this step! Many people think they dont NEED this and I’m here to tell you that the thinking you have used up to this point has gotten you where you are… If you want to go further you are going to have to expand your thinking and mirror what successful Networkers do… When you are HARD on yourself the world is infinitely EASIER on you!
But dont spend all night online, just spend say 20 minutes each morning or evening. It’s easy to lose a large amount of time online, and you should be working!
Remember why you joined your company in the first place… Maybe you were extremely excited about the product. You should learn everything you can about that product. (This doesnt meant that you should tell your prospects everything you know) but if you’re not excited and passionate yourself then how are you able to get other people excited as well?
The last 2 tips above are part of educating yourself. Learn from your Support Team (Upline) – they should be your mentors, and in turn become a trusted leader for your Success Team (Downline), they ought to be energized and edified by you in turn.

That’s one of the reason a lot of people don’t succeed in Network Marketing – they simply don’t take it seriously enough! Thanks for the article!
I think the real key is to come up with a doable daily mode of operation and do it at least six days a week for minimum five years. Most people are not consistent. You won’t build a large business working one hour a week. You can’t work for one week and then take the next six months off and expect much to happen. The committed, disciplined people typically do very well in our profession. If people would just treat their business like they do their job, and show up every day, we would have a lot more success stories. Just my two cents.
